Save Recipes From Instagram and TikTok to Your Dinner Plan
To save a recipe from Instagram or TikTok in It’s Dinnertime on iPhone, open the post, tap Share, and choose It’s Dinnertime. The recipe is saved in its own words, and it can go on next week’s plan.
Save a Recipe From a Post
- Open the post. It can be on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest or Facebook. A recipe website opened in Safari works too.
- Tap Share, then choose It’s Dinnertime. Or copy the link, then in the app go to Recipes › + › Add a recipe, paste it, and tap Add to your recipes.
- Find it in Recipes. Search by name, ingredient, note or source.
When a Caption Has No Recipe
Some videos do not put the recipe in the caption. Many creators send it when you comment on the post, often with a word like RECIPE. Open the link they send, tap Share, and choose It’s Dinnertime.
You can also tap I have the recipe link and paste it, tap Make a recipe for the dish, or tap Save the video only and fill it in yourself. With Pro, Claude reads a post again when Apple’s reader cannot find a recipe in it.
From a Cookbook Page or a Recipe Card
- Scan a cookbook page on an iPhone with Apple Intelligence. It is read on your phone and never uploaded.
- With Pro, Claude reads a photo of a cookbook page or a handwritten card taken with the camera. Any line it is not sure of is marked Check this, and you see the recipe before anything is saved.
Put It on Your Week and Your Reminders List
- Pick it for a night. On This Week, open a night and choose Pick a recipe. Or tap Plan a new week and choose My recipes, Half mine, half new, or All new.
- Add the week to your list. In Groceries, tap Add this week. Deselect what you already have and add the rest.
- Shop from Reminders. Your list is a Reminders list you choose. You can share it the way you share any Reminders list, and it is there when the app is closed.
You do not need a store or a price for any of this. When you cook, the app shows one step at a time, and you can use your voice.
